This project that was done as part of university work, it was a photoshoot that took place recently wearing a dress I had made as part of a studio class. When designing the dress itself it was important that it reflected my theme of new romantics and renaissance, depicting both a feminine and masculine feel to it. I wanted to keep the shoot very minimal and more focused on the models movement and the way the small use of props were worked with. Very minimal editing was done to the final photos, adjusting some lighting was needed and adding some grain to them which creates a textual effect and creates minimal tonal variation within the images.

The simplicity of the ambience of which the photo has been taken creates a tranquil and calming feel and also contrasts well with the warmer, darker tones of the dress which therefore making it the focal point of the images. Through the use of random, yet thought out props such as the dog and the book, it adds personality to the images and allows for the viewer to perceive their own idea behind each image.
